Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived with twelve other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she learned to write and read, Dolly Parton was creating her own songs. In 8 years, she was playing her first guitar. When she was 11 years old she started singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. Even though she became an established local celebrity while at high school, her dreams were bigger. The singer moved to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. The first charting record she had with Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his TV show syndicated by a network at about the same at the same time. Parton signed with RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired in the year 1967. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her own songs such as Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton's song, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), hit the No. #1 spot following their broke up. First time, in 1974.
